The Foundation’s first Donor Appreciation Cookout, held on June 12, 2010 and fully sponsored by the Board of Directors, had all of the ingredients for a good ole fashion cookout. Willie’s finger licking good fried chicken was the talk of the day [and the week, and the following week]. Betty Spencer, one of the Foundation’s faithful donors, contributed her macaroni and cheese and left the guests asking for more. Carol Boswell’s homemade peanut butter cookies melted in your mouth. Good food, good music, a warm sunny afternoon [at least most of the afternoon], a moon bounce for the kids, and most of all good fellowship was a recipe for a good ole fashion good time.
